Clear night, temperature dropping

0 moths of 0 species

For completeness

Incidental moths, Hill of Beath

Minding my own business in the garden, not bothering moths at all and in dropped this little fella - Argyresthia trifasciata, or Triple-barred Argent. Quite aptly named.

Blastobasis lacticolella

I swear I am gong to fill the caps of these tubes with blue-tack or something. Every invertebrate of whatever kind always wants to sit inside the cap so you can't see them! The dark marks on this species seem to be quite variable but I think the ID is ok - plenty of paler ones barely have the main dark patch featured at all. You can see it's there, but it's not particularly strong.

Eupoecilia angustata, Cullaloe

Numerous on the flower meadow area in the late afternoon on Sunday 1st June

Cullaloe, Hill of Beath 31st May

From 22:00 to 23:30 at Cullaloe on the path beside the pines, then relocated from midnight until morning to Hill of Beath. Some wandering and netting at Cullaloe also, where the 'Orchid Meadow' produced most SGC.
