Peacock at Cullaloe today. Looks in pristine condition - does that mean it just emerged? Left it sunning itself beside the filter beds.

Cullaloe Moth Night Addition
From September's moth night, also add the micro Acleris emargana, which was already on the list, but a nice one to see - ID'd by GB

Cullaloe, Moth Night, 12/10/2013
18:00-22:30 ish when I left. Overcast and 11 degrees at first the cloud cleared and temperature feel to about 9 degrees. 12 species recorded by the time I left, but maybe more after that. My favourites of the night were December Moth, Streak and Autumnal Rustic. Complete list (to when I left) below. Moth of the night was Feathered Thorn, of which there were at least 7 when I left. Apart from November "types" which were slightly behind I don't think any other species registered more than two individuals.
List in no particular order:
December Moth
Streak
Red-line Quaker
Brick
Pink-barred Sallow
Feathered Thorn
Autumnal Rustic
Chevron
Common Marble Carpet
Spruce Carpet
Red-green Carpet
November type moths - Nov/Pale Nov/Autumn - not identified to species
